Fruit dipped in chocolate-sprinkle pops 


Everything in moderation, that’s the saying isn’t it, and you know what? I absolutely agree. 

These  sprinkle pops are a fun way to get children involved in the kitchen as they are very easy to make and take no time at all. 

I’ve gone for a traditional ‘sprinkle’ topping but to make things a little healthier I’ve also made some sprinkled with shredded coconut and organic rolled oats.
Ingredients

Fruit of your choice- I’ve chosen strawberries and bananas. The banana were quite big so I peeled them and cut each one into 3 and the strawberries were washed and dried well and left whole.

200g chocolate which I melted in the microwave 30 seconds, stirred and popped back for another 30 seconds  until melted. Please keep in mind all microwaves are different so do what suits yours. 

Paddlepop sticks (these were from my local supermarket but check craft stores) 

1/2 cup Shredded coconut 

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles

Method

Prepare fruit and melt chocolate as per directions above.

Press the fruit into paddle pop sticks. Then the fun begins! 

Dip in chocolate then into your favourite topping! The sky is the limit with what you could choose but healthier alternatives could be rice bubbles, crushed nuts, oats and coconut as pictured above or chopped dried apricots. Yum!
